with the passing of the bailout the timber counties were able to get an extension on the OC&E funds. I guess we're supposed to jump up and down with joy. "we're taking 700 billion, but here's a handful of pennies for your schools and libraries"

I can't add to that, except to say hear, hear!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how dreary it would be to live in a county where the public libraries are closed, like in Josephine.
I guess they think if they keep the people stupid, it'll be harder for them to object or do something for themselves.
